School-Based Clinician: Jacqueline Ortiz
Under the direction of the Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, the School-Based Therapist provides educationally related and mental health support to students who are experiencing some challenges. The role of the therapist is to assess the student, recommend or administer treatments, and encourage behavioral changes that address the needs of the child. The school-based clinician also conducts risk assessments, including school clearances, on an as-needed basis. Children in this program are referred to by the school administration in conjunction with their parent's permission.
